Two brothers of Chechen extraction settled in the USA commit a mass terror attack on spectators at a Boston Marathon race. The question of motivation certainly seems important. Having been given shelter by a host country, university scholarships and a new life in a prosperous country, why then in recompense do these youngsters commit unspeakable barbarity upon their new fellow citizens and target them with a mass slaughter?
The name Tamerlan is named after another famous jihadist, a monster who killed untold numbers for the sake of jihad. Naming your son after this butcher of humanity is like naming your son Adolf Hitler or Osama bin Laden. Amir Timur (Tamerlan the original in whose honour this jihadist criminal is named) called himself ‘sword of Islam’ and more than lived up to that name. From his memoirs we can see why:
- About the year 800 A.H. (1398 A.D.), there arose in my heart the desire to lead an expedition against the infidels and to become a Champion of the Faith, for it had reached my ears that the slayer of infidels is a Champion and that, if he is slain, he becomes a martyr. It was for this reason that I formed my resolution, but I was undetermined in my mind whether I should direct my expedition against the infidels of China or against the infidels and polytheists of India. In this matter I sought an omen from the Koran, and the verse to which I opened was this: “O Prophet, make war upon infidels and unbelievers, and treat them with severity.”………..
At this time the wise men of Islam came before me, and a conversation began about the propriety of a war against infidels and polytheists, whereupon they declared that it is the duty of the Sultan of Islam and of all who profess that “there is no god but Allah, and Mohammed is the prophet of Allah,” to exert their utmost endeavour for the suppression of the enemies of their faith, for the sake of preserving their religion and strengthening their law. They likewise said that it is the duty of every Moslem and true believer to use his utmost exertions in obedience to his ruler. When the edifying words of the wise men reached the ears of the nobles, all their hearts were set upon a holy war in Hindustan, and throwing themselves on their knees, they repeated the Chapter of Victory which opens the Koran.
The original Tamerlan gave infidels the choice of conversion or death and in case of conversion spared them (as per Quran 9:5 in relation to polytheists):
- Some of the infidels held out in their defiles for three days and nights, but sending my valiant troops against them, I so pressed them that they were obliged to surrender and beg for quarter. I sent Ak Sultan to them with the message that if they would submit unconditionally and would all become Mussulmans and repeat the creed, I would grant them quarter, but otherwise I would exterminate them to a man. When Ak Sultan reached the infidels with this message, which he explained to them through the medium of an interpreter conversant both with their language and with Turkish, they all proffered submission, and repeating the necessary formula, embraced the Mohammedan faith. Relying upon this external conversion, I spared their lives and property, and gave orders that no one should interfere with their lives, belongings, or estates. I then clothed some of them in dresses of honour and dismissed them.
The original Tamerlan was also careful in his depredations to honour and spare Muslims whilst slaughtering non-Muslims as the motivation of this criminal against humanity was "jihad fi sabil allah" (Jihad for the sake of Allah):
- Next day I gave orders that the Mussulman prisoners should be separated and saved, but that the infidels should all be put to death with the proselytizing sword. I also commanded that the homes of the sayyids (or lineal descendants of the Prophet), shaikhs, and learned Mussulmans should be preserved, but that all the other houses should be plundered and the fort destroyed. It was done as I directed, and great booty was obtained.
In one day he ordered the slaughter of around one hundred thousand of his Hindu prisoners:
- At this court Amir Jahan Shah, Amir Sulaiman Shah, and other amirs of experience informed me that, from the time of entering Hindustan up to the present we had taken more than one hundred thousand infidels and Hindus prisoners, and that they were all in my camp. On the previous day, when the enemy’s forces attacked us, the prisoners made signs of rejoicing, uttered imprecations against us, and were ready, as soon as they heard of the enemy’s success, to form themselves into a body, break their bonds, plunder our tents, and then to join the enemy, and so increase his numbers and strength. I asked the amirs for advice about the prisoners, and they said that on the day of battle these one hundred thousand prisoners could not be left with the baggage, and that it would be entirely opposed to the rules of war to set these idolaters and foes of Islam at liberty, so that no course remained but to make them all food for the sword.
So, being named in honour of the above Jihadist war criminal from history, it was clear that Tamerlan Tsarnaev is from a family background that reveres Islamic Jihad.
Tamerlan Tsarnaev had his own youtube channel, the very name that he chose to give it tells us of his worldview, it was called muaz seyf ullah, which in English means the esteemed sword of Allah. In Islam using the sword to slaughter infidels is highly praised and is considered the greatest offering of a Muslim to Islam, becoming a mujahid (one who fights in Jihad to make Islam supreme). One who kills non-Muslims gains the Islamic honorific title ghazi, or slaughter of infidels for the cause of Islam, this title both Tamerlan’s have earned.
One of the earliest and greatest heroes of Islam was a warrior named Khalid bin Walid, who fought many battles for Islam to both force people to become Muslims and also to stop them apostatizing in the battles of Ridda (apostasy). He is infamous for slaughtering a man and then celebrating his nuptials with his wife the same day (raping), but is still a great hero of Islam revered with the honorific title Seyfullah, or sword of Allah. Islam spread rapidly using the sword after the ‘revelation’ of Quranic verse 9:5
- And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they should repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, let them [go] on their way. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
After this verse came the non-Muslim polytheists of Arabia were given only the choice of Islam or the sword. This verse is known as the verse of the sword and in Islam the sword has great reverence attached to it as the instrument of Islam and its spread, as the hadith says ‘paradise is under the shade of swords’. The Saudis also keep the sword on their National flag to commemorate this significance.
Christians and Jews were allowed to stay alive as long as they paid a humiliating jizya tax and lived subjugated lives.
- Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture - [fight] until they give the jizyah willingly while they are humbled.

He also has two videos from Australian born, Lebanese origin Islamic preacher Sheikh Feiz Muhammad. This preacher is infamous for inspiring hatred and preaching for jihad in Muslim youths, especially those in Western countries. In one speech he says:
- 'The peak, the pinnacle, the crest, the highest point, the pivot, the summit of Islam is Jihad'
Some of his hate speeches were featured in the documentary ‘undercover mosque’ whose producers faced the threat of police prosecution for undercovering this hatred in the same inversion of those in the ‘Islamophobia’ industry who charge those who dare to delve into the hatred being preached by Muslim radicals and its Islamic theological basis as being Islamophobic bigots and hate criminals.
This preacher is from a similar background to Tamerlan. He also had a brief career in boxing, before becoming a born again Muslim, renewing his dedication to Islam and being inspired by its jihadist teachings.
In Urdu there is a phrase ‘namak harami’ which translates as 'traitor', or one who you have fed and brought up and who then betrays you. Both the preacher Sheikh Feiz Muhammad who is most likely the greatest inspiration for this butchery, Tamerlan and his younger brother all qualify as ‘namak harami’ Muslims, those who betray their hosts for the sake of Islam and Jihad fi sabil Allah. Although having been given scholarships and access to a good life by their host societies these men all fall prey to the hate messages of preachers like Sheik Feiz Muhammad and take up jihad against their hosts.
Initially it is obvious that Tamerlan was the ringleader of this operation, bringing his younger brother into the plan and that his motivation is jihad against infidel America as part of a war to make Islam supreme.
These ‘namak harami’ brothers are a couple who were successful in their jihadi terror. Every year, year in and year out, the Western security services are foiling hundreds of such plans. For every successful jihadist atrocity like Boston, London, 9/11, Madrid, Beslan, Bali, Nigeria etc., there are hundreds more foiled.
Islam, with its message of war against all humanity until it is supreme is a clear and present danger to the world and is the motivation for the Boston terror atrocity:
Quran 8:39: And fight them until there is no fitnah and [until] the religion, all of it, is for Allah. And if they cease - then indeed, Allah is Seeing of what they do.
Sahih Muslim (1:33): The Messenger of Allah said: "I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify that there is no god but Allah, that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, and they establish prayer and pay zakat."
